The Style Counsel has one goal and that is to create photos of your listings that will get your properties noticed by Buyers and sold faster.

We all appreciate the value of making a good impression. You wouldn’t meet a client in your sweat pants and without having showered, would you? Of course not! Well why would put a bad photo of your listing on the MLS? After all, it is your business, and nothing can help a sale better than a good first impression. Real estate styling is nothing more than a virtual shower and a bit of makeup for your listing. I could quote the statistics about people deciding within the first 2 minutes, but you know them.

In today's real estate market, the margins matter more than ever and you need to use every advantage possible. The facts are simple; the Internet has become both the primary marketing tool for Realtors and the starting point for Homebuyers. Many Homebuyers make their first edits on properties before ever consulting an agent. We are not alone in this assertion. See what others are saying…

…about making every pixel count.
…about what a picture is really worth.
…about more pictures on MLS listings.
…about the impact of photography on sales.
... the value of quality photos and selling your most valuable asset.

You may ask, "Why pay for photos when I can just take them on my phone?" The answer is simple, as with most things in life, you get what you pay for. Yes, you can take pictures on your phone, but they will look like you took them with your phone. When you consider the cost of each day a listing sits on the market (ie. marketing costs, your time, mortgage payments for your client, utilities, lost cash flow for you, time spent with extra showings, etc., etc., etc....) it becomes clear that paying for photos which are well lit, properly framed using a wide angle lens and DSLR camera, edited for security issues and color correction, loaded into and embeddable virtual tour, and delivered in versions optimized for both the web and print materials, is a wise investment that will yield positive results.

In the internet age, this expense should be now considered a necessary one when listing a home. It is no different than paying for minor repairs or having the house clean for showings. They are all necessary if one wants to garner top dollar in a sale.

For Realtors, there are other factors as well:
1.) The cost of your time,
2.) Using our service to help secure a listing,
3.) Letting us create unique one-of-a-kind Thank You gifts for clients which feature their home - old or new
4.) Knowing that every time a listing is viewed with you name on it that it portrays the most professional image for your business,
5.) And just having the pride in knowing you are doing your best for your clients.
6.) The current market requires every advantage. See this article about existing home sales from CNN Money.

For the Home Owner:
You want to sell your home as quickly as possible, even the best Realtor in the world cannot be there 24/7 touting the best aspects of your home, but the Internet can. In order to accomplish your goal of selling your home as quickly as possible, it is imperative that you work with your Realtor to make sure your home is portrayed in its most favorable light. By having The Style Counsel take your listing photos, you are making your greatest effort to maximize your return on investment.

Why The Style Counsel?
To say I have a passion for real estate -and photography- would be putting it mildly. I have held a real estate license (in Texas) for over 17 years. I also have a background in real estate development and marketing. I developed one of the first broadcast newsletters for realtors in San Antonio over 15 years ago and developed websites for Realtors way back in the early days of the late 1990’s. My first SLR camera was a Canon AE1- and I was 15 years old.

I became acutely aware of the need for this service when I had to find a home 10 years ago. I was living in San Antonio and was looking for a home in Athens, Ohio. When I had to repeat the process in Morgantown and had the same results, I decided I would finally put all those year of planning, passion, and preparation into effect.

If you are ready to take your practice to the next level, I look forward to meeting you and helping you grow your business. Please let me know how I may be of assistance, or if you have any comment or suggestions please feel free to email me or comment on our Guestbook. Thank you for visiting The Style Counsel.com, where SOLD is the name of the game.
